Ivy Taylor
Ivy qualified as a Snowboard Instructor and Freestyle Coach in 2004 but is now focusing on her own riding as one of two female boardercrossers on the British Snowboard Team.
Ivy was selected as the only boardercross athlete representing the UK in the World University Games 2007...and was placed 10th. She was also placed 36th in the Olympian-dominated World Snowboard Championships 2007...(during which she had a broken collar bone!)
She is currently in her final year of her Music degree at Newcastle Uni, specialising in studio-based composition. After graduation she will be training and competing with the GB Team full-time to achieve her ultimate aim of competing in the Winter Olympics.
Snowboarding aside, Ivy is the only established female Hip-Hop DJ in the North East. She has supported Doc Brown, Aim and Bonobo, and played sets for snowboard championships, breakdancing championships, art exhibitions, award ceremonies, radio stations, hip-hop showcases, bars, club nights and in-store lock-ins. She is the official DJ for the Dialect MC crew and has a hip-hop show on ID:FM.
