At Dreadworx Ltd we are very aware of the impact our business has on the environment and are working hard to reduce that impact

. We pondered long and hard on all the things we could do to offset our carbon emissions; the obvious seemed to be planting trees, but due to the carbon cycle this is only a short term solution and donating to eco charities is seemingly ineffective and imprecise, as such we came to the conclusion instead of trying to offset emissions we would try our hardest to reduce them in the first place!

1) We walk to work every morning
2) We are phasing out the use of standard copy paper in favour for recycled paper.
3) We recycle all ink cartridges used
4) All used paper products are recycled
5) All our shredded paper is recycled
6) All received cardboard boxes are recycled and not burned
6) All shipping pallets received are passed on to be used again - not burned
7) We always try to buy office material made from recycled products
8) We buy in large quantities to reduce amount of yearly shipments and the emissions these create
9) We only purchase monitors which don't have environmentally dangerous chemicals in the screens.
10) We wear warm clothes in the office during winter months to avoid unnecessarily use of the heaters
11) All appliances in the office are switched off at the wall when not in use
12) When possible, while working, the lights in the office stay off
13) We try not to give our customers carrier bags, when we do they are paper ones!
14) We encourage all our employees to think before they print!, cutting back on paper wastage
15) All old office gear goes to a new home
16) We try to do all necessary meetings with our accountants, bankers and other such associates over the phone, cutting out journeys too and through.
